We started heading south - after a quick visit to Scotland's most northerly distillery Highland Park.

Typically, as we were heading south east, that's where the wind was coming from. However we weren't in a hurry, and it was a nice day so we tacked into the wind and sailed all the way. As it was 20 knots, sometimes 25 or more, we had 2 reefs in the sails but were still making hull speed. Within Scapa Flow, there isn't the space for significant waves to develop so it was quite comfortable.

Tomorrow - a longer stretch south to Wick or even Lossiemouth.
