We sailed the short distance north from Rum to Loch Scavaig - a beautiful spot under the high Cuillins. We anchored for a couple of hours whilst we went for a walk around the corner to Loch Coruisk - along with a small boat load of day trippers.

Onwards we went past the dramatic west coast of Skye - although at times the tops of the cliffs were hidden in the low cloud.

We turned into Loch Harport to head south to Carbost where we tied on to a mooring buoy. We braved the rain to carry our laundry ashore - only to find the advertised washing machine wasn't available due to a block booking on the bunkhouse. So we ate in the pub (the price of the 'free' mooring).
