We left Arisaig first thing and headed out to Eigg. On the way out of Arisaig harbour we past seals on the rocks, and then found more where we anchored at Eigg.

On Eigg, without particularly having planned to, we walked to the top of An Sgurr for the fabulous views. We twice saw a pair of big birds of prey - perhaps eagles - that were living high on the cliff.

We then went back to the boat and crossed back to the mainland, past Mallaig and to Loch Inverie. I'd heard about the Old Forge pub which claims it is the remotest pub in the UK mainland. There are said to be no roads in or out, so its only accessible by walking or boat. We were therefore a bit disappointed to see cars there and even a postal van making a collection. I was also disappointed by the lack of local ales on tap - apparently we'd got a bad day. The seafood platter however did not disappoint.
